December 1998. With its incredibly small footprint and low energy costs, the CAP™ Clean Air Plant mocel CAP-1000/6X is a true breakthrough in biological treatment of contaminated air. The CAP-1000/6X, a new model of sgblue, inc.'s biological air cleaning systems, is available for large cleanup projects, such as, cleaning tank vent emissions, stack gases, odors, and other generators of air pollution.
CAP-1000/6X is a safe pollution destruction system which handles high concentrations of pollutants. These pollutants may include: hydrocarbons, such as benzene (from gasoline) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs); gases, such as CO, NOx, SO2, O3; and solids, smoke, and particulates. CAPs emit no NOx, CO, or other products of partial combustion. CAPs are low temperature, low fuel consumption, and low pressure systems.
In a recent project for a plastics manufacturer, a CAP-1000/6X multi-stage unit treated tank vent emissions which contained latex off-gases. The company could not use a NOx-producing technology and desired a small footprint system with low energy and operating costs. Within seconds of start-up, the CAP-1000/6X achieved 90% degradation of 20,000 ppm contaminants. For 99% pollutant removal, two units are used, and for 99.9% pollutant removal, three units are used.
The system is easy to assemble; start-up from time of delivery is under four hours. Unlike other biological systems, no dilution air is needed and the system can handle wide fluctuations in feed.
