July 2000 Odors from permanents, dyes and nail finishes once filled the air at the Razor's Edge in South Plainfield, New Jersey. "Clients used to come in complaining of the odor," says Donna Haines, co-owner of the shop. "Now because of the CAP Clean Air Plant, chemical odors no longer linger." According to Donna, they tried other air filters, but they didn't work.
Oscar Estevez an employee at the salon, brought the CAP to their attention when he noticed one cleaning the air at a local print shop. "I knew we had to do something about our air, but nothing else worked. What attracted us to the CAP was their trial program, which allowed us to rent a unit to try out. Our customers loved it, so we purchased it. I like the fact that the CAP continuously destroys the odors and fumes in the shop. There are no filters to replace, and it only takes about fifteen minutes each month for maintenance."
